I began photography as an electronmicroscopist conducting neuroscience and DNA research at various universities and medical schools.
I am by profession a scholar, author, practitioner, and teacher of Chinese medicine. I have had the good fortune to live in the beautiful Berkshire Hills most of my life and draw inspiration from the light that graces us here. Many of these photographs are taken between 4:45am and 6am when the light is new and the shadows are long.
In 2021 I was honored to win the People's Choice Award in an iPhone photography exhibition at Sohn Fine Arts in Lenox, Massachusetts. This website is my answer to growing calls to make my work accessible to the public.
